Goetze Background

Friedrich Wilhelm Goetze founded the Goetze company in 1887 in Burscheid, Germany. During the first years of its existence, the company was manufacturing sealings for steam valves. Goetze was developing quite fast and at the beginning of the 20th century, it had about 100 people employed.

In 1912, Friedrich Goetze decided to start the mass production of piston rings for vehicles. Several years later the company started to make rubber fittings for engines. After the end of the Second World War Goetze began to open plants in other countries and sell its products beyond German borders. In 1997, the German company became a part of Federal-Mogul Corporation.

Piston rings. In the production of these goods sheet metal and vulcanized rubber are used what increases their oil-resistance. The product range includes rings of standard and non-standard sizes.
Face seals. The German company supplies face seals of various shapes and sizes.
