Hydraulic jacks allow raising a vehicle to the required height quickly. They feature a high lifting capacity and are easy to use. Reliable and versatile. The piston is moved by compressed oil forced by the pump.

Types of hydraulic jacks

By design:

Bottle jacks. Have a steady support plate. Mostly designed to lift vehicles with a large ride height.
Trolley (floor) jacks. Their support plate is fitted with wheels which makes it easier to move the device.

By pump type:

With a built-in pump. Most common ones. Convenient to use, but can be positioned under a load not deeper than the length of the handle permits.
With an external pump. The pump is connected to the device with a hose. Devices of this type are used to lift heavy loads simultaneously.

By actuation type:

Hand-powered. To compress the fluid in the cylinder, you have to move the handle upwards and downwards manually.
Air (pneumatic). Connected to an air compressor. Suitable for garages.
Power (electric). Do not require any physical effort from the operator. Irreplaceable when it’s necessary to service a big number of vehicles.

Operating instructions for hydraulic jacks

Read the instructions carefully before using the device. The order of steps may vary depending on its design.
Every time before starting work, you should check your hydraulic jack for damage and leaks. Do not use faulty equipment.
To air-bleed the system, move the handle up and down 4-5 times without any load.
Check the oil level following the recommendations given in the user’s manual. If necessary, top up the required amount.

Warning! Never fill lifting devices with engine oil or brake fluid.

All moving parts of the device need to be regularly lubricated. The procedure and types of lubricants are specified by the manufacturer.
If you use the device on an everyday basis, check its fasteners and tighten them as needed about once in two weeks.
