• Mains powered. This type should be connected to a household mains socket.
• Battery powered. These have a battery and a charger.
• Cigarette lighter powered. These devices require a 12V DC power supply to work.

In addition, pressure washers vary in material, power consumption, water pressure, availability of overheating protection and the function of automatic shutdown when the water pressure in the device exceeds the limit.

Tips for using pressure washers

• During the cold months, try to wash your car with warm water only. This will help prevent deterioration of the paintwork.
• To remove stubborn stains, use the steam function.
• While washing a car, hold the nozzle at a distance from the car body as recommended by the manufacturer.
• Do not direct the jet to damaged areas of the car body.
