The history of the trademark Semperit goes back to 1824 when an Austrian Johann Nepomuk Reithoffer made a decision to organize the production of clothes made of rubber-coated fabric. In 1850 a factory in Wimpassing was opened – the first company engaged in the production of rubber goods in Europe. In 1900 the production of automobile tyres was started and the name Semperit was used for the first time. In 1912 The Semperit Group Corporation was formed as the result of the consolidation of several companies. In 1985 the tyre company that was called Semperit Reifen AG was sold to the German group corporation Continental AG.

1. Summer tires. The latest developments of the company are incorporated in the following lines of tires:
   • Speed-Life 2. They have a large area of contact with the road, due to which they provide excellent grip with wet road surface and the braking path is decreased. Lateral stiffness of the tyre section prevents deformation. Due to the use of silicon compounds in the composition tyres of the line are resistant to wear and tear.
   • Comfort-Life 2. They have a unique tread pattern. Three longitudinal channels serve for discharging water away from the road contact patch and it considerably decreases the hydroplaning effect of the vehicle. Due to the asymmetric design of the blocks the manufacturer managed to decrease the noise level of tyres during movement.

   • Speed-Grip 2. These tyres have a directional tread pattern and are intended for high-speed driving. They demonstrate great performance on snowy, icy, dry and wet roads. Sharp edges of the tread pattern provide effective braking on the slippery road surface.
   • Master-Grip 2. They are manufactured from materials resistant to temperature drops. Sipes of these tyres are located at a small distance and it allows reducing the braking path on snowy roads.
