When choosing an automotive battery based on the ampere hour capacity 110 Ah, be sure to check your car manual and the battery label.

Also, consider the following parameters:

  • Battery type. Conventional lead-acid batteries and GEL, AGM, EFB ones differ in the consistency of the electrolyte and the configuration of the plates.
  • Cold cranking amperes (CCA). Its is measured in amperes (A). The higher this figure, the more likely it is that the engine can be started in the winter. For petrol passenger cars, it should be at least 255 A, for diesel ones - not less than 300 A.
  • Size. An automotive battery with unsuitable dimensions will not fit your car.
  • Polarity. Depending on the location of the terminals, the polarity can either be straight or reverse. If you attempt to mount the battery in your car in such a way that the terminals are positioned improperly, this can lead to installation difficulties and risk of short circuits.

The average automotive battery life is 3-4 years. After it expires, the car battery should be replaced.
