Mobil motor oils are produced by ExxonMobil company, one of the largest corporations in the USA, which produce and refine oil. Its history started in 1870 since foundation of Standard Oil Company by John Rockefeller. The brand name is used since 1966, and in its modern form the company was presented in 1999. Nowadays company lubricants are used both in serial production cars and in motor sports and are among the best in the premium segment.
Mobil motor oils
The company has great experience in production of semi-synthetic and synthetic lubricants: it was the first to use fluid catalytic cracking method in 1942 and now it continues to implement innovations into the manufacturing process.
All Mobil motor oils can be divided into:
- Mineral. They are presented by Super M, Super 1000, Super 1000 X1 and other products. They include thoroughly cleaned components and special thickening additives, use of which provides stability of viscous characteristics at high temperatures. Such products are cheaper than other brand products but at the same time they effectively protect the engine from corrosion, carbon formation and wear-out.
- Semi-synthetic. Such products as Super 2000 and Super 2000 X1 belong to them. All of them differ by resistance to oxidation, preserve stable characteristics even under continuous effect of high temperature. They possess optimal viscosity at low temperature, that is why they immediately lubricate engine parts in conditions of cold start even in hard frost.
- Synthetic. The most popular oils in this category are oils of 1 series as well as Super 3000 X1, Super 3000 X1 Formula FE and other products. Their main advantages are great operational properties irrespective of environmental conditions, good fluidity at low temperature, resistance to oxidation and shear – at high temperature. They effectively clean the engine from deposit, promote fuel economy and possess extended change intervals.
