The cars, known as Hyundai i30 on the most markets, are produced in the Czech Republic since 2007 till present. “Carsguide.com.au” website awarded the model “Car of the Year” and “Green Car of the Year” in 2007. Also the car took “Best Mid-size Car Under $28.000” prize in “Australia’s Best Cars” competition. Mainly, journalists of specialized media and people who have vast experience in automotive business are the judges of this competition. According to results of the poll performed by “Which?” magazine, this vehicle was proclaimed the most reliable car in Great Britain in 2009. In the USA and Canada this car is sold as Hyundai Elantra GT.

History of Hyundai i30 cars

This model is represented by three generations and two restyled versions. 5-door hatchback Hyundai i30 debuted on Geneva Motor Show in 2007. And a station wagon was presented on Seoul Motor Show the same year. Models of the first generation, FD, were standardly equipped with six airbags, such systems as ABS and ESP, trip computer and audio system with USB and AUX sockets.

GD generation production started in 2012. A year later, the list of available car bodies was added with a 3-door hatchback, so as to gain bigger customers’ attention. It differed from the 5-door car by more aggressive appearance of the radiator grille. It was divided into two sections: the upper (with cells) and the lower (with horizontal bars). Moreover, the 3-door car could be easily recognized thanks to the round fog lights. All the cars were equipped with Lane Keep Assist System.

Features of Hyundai i30 PD cars

The third generation of the car, PD, is available since 2017. The 5-door hatchback was presented on Paris Motor Show in 2016 while i30 station wagon officially debuted on Geneva Motor Show in 2017. The same year, the fastback was shown on International Motor Show in Frankfurt am Main.

The new cars look more austere than the predecessors. The hexagonal radiator grille now consists of many cells, and the headlights got more moderate shape. Skewed strips of the daytime running lights are mounted on the front bumper. It is worth noting that these elements of the fastback are elegantly curved.

Hyundai i30 cars are notable for high safety level. So, as standard, the cars are equipped with HillStart Assist Control (HAC), emergency brake assist system (BAS), vehicle stability management (VSM), driver attention alert monitoring system (DAA).
