What are ceramic glow plugs?
Ceramic glow plugs are currently the most efficient and technologically advanced. The key feature of their design is the heating element placed in a ceramic shell. This shell has excellent thermal conductivity and can withstand long-term heating to high temperatures. These products can be heated to 1,000°C in just 2 seconds. They can have a maximum temperature of 1,350°С. Thanks to this, the most rapid possible heating is achieved, fuel consumption is reduced and the concentration of harmful substances in the exhaust gases is lowered. In addition, due to the slow ageing of ceramics, the components have a long service life. Their main disadvantage is the high price.
