Control arm Transverse rear and front

What are transverse arms?

Suspension transverse arms are steel or light alloy parts with knobs at both ends where bushes and ball joints are mounted. These components are used, for example, in a multi-link suspension. They can be installed both on the front and on the rear axle. They usually have two attachment points: one end to be attached to the knuckle, the other to the body subframe. These parts keep the wheel in the correct upright position, determine the toe-in, and serve as a support for the coil spring by taking the vertical load. In modern suspensions, three to five of these parts are typically used. They can not be swapped.
