Daewoo Evanda saloon was offered in Western Europe from 2002 to 2004. After 2004 this car was produced under Chevrolet brand. In South Korea it was known as Daewoo Magnus. In the USA it was sold as Suzuki Verona, and in Canada, Chile, China – as Chevrolet Epica. Assembling was performed on territories of South Korea and Taiwan.
History of Daewoo Evanda cars
The model was represented by one generation. Car length was 4770 mm, width – 1810 mm, height – 1440 mm. Luggage compartment volume was 435 liters. Daewoo Evanda model was a practical, spacious and at the same time affordable family vehicle. The famous company Italdesign Giugiaro and Giorgetto Giugiaro himself took part in car designing.
For the European market this front-wheel drive car was equipped with 131 hp engine. It was 4-cylinder petrol engine of 2 litres displacement. The car was built on bigger V100 platform which was used for Leganza – the flagship brand model.
Features of Daewoo Evanda
The car was notable for elegant exterior which was refreshed with details popular in the beginning of 2000’s. Thus, it got headlights with edgy inner angles. The large rear lights had unusual position of optic elements which didn’t adhere to each other despite being in the same unit. The 3-section radiator grille of Evanda saloon was decorated with a chromed frame, the bonnet had relief decorative lines. Laconic fog lights were located on the narrow bumper grille. The door handles and side mirror housings were painted in body colour, and designers placed black moldings on doors.
Faux wood was used for cabin trimming. The driver seat had electric adjustment. Moreover, heating of the front row seats was offered, and a wide armrest located between them. Multifunctional steering wheel, with which one could control the audio system, provided comfort car operation. The front and rear seats were equipped with headrests.
Extended trim level included the air-conditioner. ABS and traction control system ensured high safety level of Daewoo Evanda cars. Moreover, 4 airbags were included.
